Franciska Toubale is a lively and creative teacher, who makes students speak the everyday language by means of a direct method, including games and exercises. She learned Esperanto while teaching English in French schools, and she has through Esperanto travelled widely in Europe, Asia and the United States, and has taken part in many international Esperanto congresses and seminars. Her classes are always joyful. Franciska will teach levels 1 & 3.
Hazel Green has taught Esperanto in Queensland for several years, and is presently in charge of the Esperanto Correspondence Courses of the Australian Esperanto Association. Being a fluent speaker of the language, she has also been very active in various positions in the Australian Esperanto movement. She is one of a handful of holders of the Alta Diplomo in Australia, and is our expert on every aspect of the grammar of Esperanto. Moreover, she enjoys directing conversation classes. Hazel will teach levels 2 & 4.
Trevor Steele practises Esperanto to the full. He has taught Esperanto in many Australian Summer Schools, as well as in regular courses overseas. He is a well-established Esperanto author, having published a variety of original novels in the international language. This former Director General of the Universal Esperanto Association is now a member of the Examination Board of the Australian Esperanto Association. His classes are always good fun, and in his teaching he concentrates on conversation, as well as on literary assessment. Trevor will teach levels 3 & 4.
Marcel Leereveld is a teacher of foreign languages from Holland, who now resides in Melbourne. He introduced Esperanto as a regular subject in the curricula of Caulfield Grammar School, and of the Friends' School, as was instrumental in getting the language accepted for the Tasmanian Schools Board. He is an expert on grammar and style, has written various study guides and is presently the Chief Examiner of the Australian Esperanto Association. he co-ordinates the morning classes, and prepares students for the various examinations in the afternoons.
